Instead of working on Breathe for the day, I had to work on my Battle for the Winds jeans, because they still needed the fly/zip re-done and had to be sewn back together and finished off; here is what they looked like before:
And by the very exhausting end of day Friday, after working on them all through Thursday until about 3:30 Friday, here is how they ended up:
And here's the finished shirt, a bit different from pictured above:
But, Thursday, we did have individual meetings with Adele to decide what we wanted to do/get out of Breathe. I decided I want to make very textured mow-hawk headdresses for the teenager group. After Easter, my provisional plan is:
Week 1: Attend Breathe Club Weds
Start Headdress Thurs
Week 2: Attend Breathe Club Weds
Finish headdress preparation for next Breathe Club Thurs
Week 3: Run SMALL workshop Weds
Finish up any bits from Weds, continue headdresses Thurs
Also, running alongside SDP is Perceptions of Performance, and I have emailed Will with a basic idea of what I want to write about, which I have already received confirmation that my topic is alright; basically I asked Will if I could write something along the lines of how Lady Gaga is bringing performance art to the mainstream and everyday life, and he said "I think you've got the beginning of a interesting investigation here. Certainly Lady Gaga has made her whole existence a piece of performance art.", so I'm feeling pretty confident that I can take this idea and make a pretty passionate, decently written essay!
